I am still uncertain as to how long we will be able to live in this house. There are many factors to consider. Read about them here.

The way that I am seeing that if we can live really simply and sleep in dorm rooms, or tents if we really need privacy, then the rest of the house can be common space. I haven't put pictures of all the possible common spaces yet, but they include:

  • spacious living room for gatherings, workshops and eating
  • spacious kitchen/dining room for preparing food and eating
  • The spaces mentioned above could be used for a school during the day.
  • downstairs large room for relaxing, games, and free time, and "Holy Breaks" which are times when the community pauses through out the day to connect with Jesus as a group with engaging spiritual practices
  • Upstairs deck for relaxing, star gazing, hanging out, during mild weather
  • Fire-ring for camp fires
  • Campground with a tent out house for guests and people wanting to sleep in tents
  • 4 bathrooms: all have showers and three have bathtubs
  • Garage for storage and workspace
  • Basement shelter for tornado protection
  • RV Parking
  • We have a nice concrete slab next to our log house and the forest where 2 medium length RV's can be parked with electricity hookups.
  • We have 4 large round tents that fit 6 people for sleeping. We can use them for dorms or family units.
  • Picnic area, volleyball court, and basketball court at Prayer Lake (five minute walk) for recreation and relaxation

Jesus Vegans Ecovillage Site

We have very basic facilities at Jesus Vegans Ecovillage site. There is no electricity or running water.  There would need to be work done to get the basics done--like putting up and painting the tents, getting running water set up. But people who live there could use all of the amenities at the Jesus Vegans Event Center. Here are the resources available:

  • two tent platforms
  • A 32 foot travel trailer that could be cleaned up and made into an office
  • the Mir House Community Center which could be used in the Spring and possibly winter if we can get a stove set up
  • A fifth wheel that needs major repair could be used for some kind of work space or family living space
  • Plenty of places to set up a tent
  • Two shipping containers that are locked and can be used for storage or other uses

Upstairs  Room with a view (1).

This room has a window overlooking the lake and has two beds. We will probably take the beds out and put up cots for a dorm room. This decision is still up in the air. The first two people who come can have a room to themselves until others come. There is a bathroom that is shared with the other room upstairs.

 Basement Room (2).

There is a downstairs apartment which has 2 windowless bedrooms. One will probably be used for a meditation/quiet room where people can go any time, night or day, to meditate and pray. The other room will most likely be used for various activities such as healing sessions, counseling, massage, private meetings and yoga. There can be a schedule so that people can count on the room being available.

I would love to hear your feedback about what you think about the use of our resources. What do you like? What can be improved?
